What is the U6 Academy of Excellence?
The U6 Academy of Excellence (U6 AOE) program bridges the gap between the HCSA Recreational Program and the Thunder Soccer Club Academy of Excellence (AOE). The U6 AOE debuted as a pilot program in the Fall of 2004 and has steadily grown. The program provides additional challenges in a more structured soccer environment and is intended for participants in the U5 and U6 age groups who possess good basic soccer skills and desire to excel.
Participation in the U6 AOE provides an opportunity for specialized training from our national and state licensed coaching staff. Players train twice a week with our coaching staff. All matches are played on Saturday’s and lead by selected volunteer coaches.
