HCSA Girls Vipers - Under 9 Xtreme Cup - Champions



After a 7-1 season, the HCSA U-9G Vipers team won the ASA U-10G Xtreme Cup Championship on Sunday May 13, 2007. In a dominating victory over Stonemill FC Red, with a score of 5-0. After a long weekend of tournament play the HCSA Vipers came out on top, breezing through the tournament undefeated. Taking the first game over Stonemill FC by a score of 4-1. Winning the second game over ASA's own AOE Xtreme team by a score of 3-1. Launching the Vipers into the semi-finals against the Columbus Strikers.

Where the Vipers took a nail biter over the Strikers by a score of 2-1. Setting the stage for a match-up between Stonemill FC Red and HCSA Vipers for the Xtreme Cup Championship, a rematch of a meeting earlier in the tournament. Where the HCSA Vipers won the game in a fashion fit for Champions, the final score was 5-0. The coach was quoted as saying," We had the responsibility to represent our association and thats what we did." The entire tournament was played beautifully by the HCSA Vipers, with their unrelenting defense anchored by Goalkeeper #26 Hannah Harrelson, Halfbacks #7 Kristin Malcolm, #50 Allison Toepfer, #22 Allie Suttles, #45 Naudia Armstrong and #10 Katelyn Davenport. Also a dominating performance by the offense anchored by Forwards #9 Ellunde Montgomery, #34 Soraya Kelly, #10 Kinsey Hileman, #8 Sydney White and #49 Kennedy Herring.

The Vipers were coached by a trio, Head Coach Charles Thompson, Asst. Coach Elliott Montgomery and Asst. Coach Kevin Kelly. The Vipers team would like to reconize and thank their Team Manager Stacy White, for her excellent work through out the season and tournament. The Vipers would also like to give thanks to their sponsors. Lyn and Jim Adams of Chicken-N-Run in McDonough and Elliott Montgomery of Malinda's House in Southlake Mall. The HCSA Vipers and Coaches would like to send a special thanks to the seventh player on the sidelines, The Parents. Thanks for all of your Love and Support, because without you it all wouldn't be possible. Congrats once again on a great season and three thumbs up on your CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! We are all proud of you!!!
