U7 Boys AOE Win Dick's Kick-It 3v3 tournament
U7 Boys AOE Win Dick's Kick-It 3v3 tournament

On the morning of June 16th the HCSA U7 boys "Thunder United", started their day at the soccer fields of the North Atlanta Soccer Association (NASA) as the Dick's Sporting Goods sponsored Kick-it 3v3 tournament was in town. The tournament began with HCSA being well represented with teams in several age groups and the kids were ready to play. Thunder United consisted of Antonio Donate, Ocean Curvin, Christopher Goslin, Austin Shakoor, and Derrick Peppers. The boys took the field first against the Soccer Dawgs of Coweta County. When the final whistle blew, Thunder United reigned supreme with a score of 11-1. The next game was scheduled against the Galaxy and the team continued strong with a victory of 10-2. Thunder United was able to rest for a few hours and take in some impressive soccer. All of the age groups seemed to be very well represented. The final challenge on June 16th was again against the Soccer Dawgs. This game did not complete the 24 allowed minutes as Thunder United defeated the Soccer Dawgs 12-3 and the game was called due to the 12 point rule.

HCSA's Thunder United was excited and ready to hit the fields on the morning of June 17th. There were only two games left before Thunder United could reign supreme. The first game of the day was set against the Galaxy and again Thunder United took control of the game and finished with a score of 11-4. Finally, the moment "THUNDER UNITED" had waited for......the final game of the tournament that would decide who would take first and second place. The Soccer Dawgs came to the game prepared for a battle with the hopes to stop Thunder United from taking first place. After a long two days, Thunder United claimed their first place victory with a score of 9-3.

The Kick-it 3v3 tournament road has just began for Thunder United. Due to the first place victory, the boys have qualified for the Regional Tournament. This tournament is scheduled for August 11-12th in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Before this journey we plan on attending an additional tournament on July 28-29th in Grovetown, Georgia. This team has enjoyed the practices and games and look forward to representing our great soccer association in our journey.
